Bernardo PR Serving on OC Business Council Committee for Latino Educational Attainment Fund

The Orange County Business Council, a leading voice of business on important issues locally, is holding their annual golf tournament to raise funds for the LEA Fund on July 29. The event will be held at the beautiful Monarch Beach Golf Links in Dana Point.

This initiative was developed to help fill the gaps left by education by assisting Latino parents on how to advocate for their children and to spark the importance of education in Latino neighborhoods in Orange County. Sandra Bernardo Selected by CIF for Professional Exchange Program

A true student of multicultural dynamics, Sandra Bernardo, founder of Bernardo Public Relations, recently participated in a vocational and cultural exchange program sponsored by the Council of International Fellowship (CIF). CIF is a private, voluntary, non-profit, organization founded in 1960 whose goals are to bridge racial and religious differences; form person to person respect and reach an international understanding for peace.

As part of the program, participants were placed to observe and experience professional work in the host country. Bernardo visited Italy and held informational meetings with communications professionals in Rome including meeting with companies such as Palazzi, a premier event production agency.

More than 100 "Spot the Block" Campaign Workshops Conducted in the Community

Bernardo PR recently wrapped up the U.S. Food and Drug Administration "Spot the Block" campaign, an effort to educate the community about how to understand Nutrition Facts Labels on food packages. The agency managed more than 100 workshops among parents and families in six states across the U.S. reaching the Hispanic community. Bernardo PR Manages Publicity Launch for Menu Labeling in Baldwin Park

After handling the South Los Angeles Healthy Eating, Active Community (HEAC) launch in 2009, the Baldwin Park HEAC region hired Bernardo PR for its launch this month.

HEAC works to combat obesity and developed a volunteer menu label program for independent restaurants. Three establishments in Baldwin Park kicked off the program now showcasing nutrition information on menu boards and take-away menus.
